Memories...

Smokey, a black and white bearded collie shows greying around his eyes. He is 16 weeks in this photo - on the sofa facing the camera.

Smokey was my pick from my first litter.
He stole my heart the day he was born.
At 16 weeks he's ready for the world.

11 months old. His coat has greyed significantly. In the back garden in a standing show pose to practice for dog shows.
11 months old - Smokey is practicing for a his turn in the show ring.
Notice how light his coat is becoming

At 15 months Smokey's coat has nearly greyed out. Here he is on the sofa in the family room.
At 15 months he shows his happy nature

Christmas 1989
A happy Smokey loos forward to his presents!

Snokey and Megan sitting on a grooming table in front of evergreens in the back garden. Both have won Best of Breed on the weekend and they are displaying their ribbons.
We are happy and proud after Smokey wins his first Best of Breed-
the day after his mother, Megan, had won Best of Breed

Smokey earns his Canadian championship with another Best of Breed. Here is is with his mommy and the judge in a "show photo".
Shown only occasionally, Smokey finishes his championship
with another Best of Breed - we are a team.

Smokey also worked at obedience and earned his Companion Dog title. He is shown here with his mommy and the judge after completing the requirement for his title.
We give obedience a try and Smokey earns his CD -
but formal obedience was not his favourite thing to do.

Three beardies bore the Christmas tree - Meggie, Megan and Smokey.
Christmas 1993 and the Mweggie, Megan and Smokey are not too
thrilled to be posing before the Christmas tree.
They would prefer to open presesnts!

Smokey and his mommy in the back garden on a beautiful summer day.
We share a summer day in the yard watching the other beardies play.
It was a beautiful day being together.

Juily 1994 - Smokey lying on the deck outside the kitchen door, facing out to the back garden.
On hot summer days, Smokey loved to lie on the deck
in the shade and watch the happenings of the world.

My heart dog gone too soon.
In my heart - forever and always.
One day, we will meet again and cross Rainbow Bridge together.
