Windheath Bearded Collies

Betsy lying on the carpet in the family room - a happy girl.

September 4, 1995 - July 25, 2006

Memories...

Betsy and her littermates are in the puppy pen. Betsy is standing with her front legs hanging out the bars.
Betsy (on the left) was always the one to be the leader of puppy antics
"Let me out of this jail"

Betsy a black beardie without full white marking, is very dark and just showing the greying around her eyes. She is about 3 months old her.
While I did not have full white markings,
I made her presence known bymy personality...
she had what mommy calls "attitude"!

Betsy going after sheep at a erding instinct test.
I enjoyed her herding experiences with sheep and
the lady that I had natural talent...
some training would slow the movement down!

Betsy at a very pale grey stage in a show photo after winning Best of Breed. She is with her handler and the judge.
I was also a show dog...
butthis was not my favourite thing to do.
On this day I won Best of Breed and got many points!

Betsy up on her mom's lap after playing with the other beardies.
Through my life I was in the arms of my mom...
she says that our bond was special and I was her girl.

Betsy in the wood storage space next to the fireplace - it makes a good place to escape from the other beardies
This is my "quiet place" to escape the chaos of the other beardies.
We will be moving soon!*

Betsy on the grooming table looking around and out the windows at the trees.
Mommy just groomed me. I love sitting on the table in this house
to be able to look out at all the trees in the back!

Christmas 2002
The other beardies are running around. Whew!
I think I will just rest here with my head on mommy's lap.

Betsy watching her mommy who is in the kitchen; a happy girl.
Mommy's words: "Betsy as I always want to remember her...
happy in her world."

Betsy, a black bearded Collie with a grey face, sitting on the grooming table after having been groomed,
I like being groomed, but I don't like
the flash of the camera going off in my eyes!
