Process to Product

Part of what makes the product of modular knitting so interesting is the process behind it -- the attempts to play with stitches and shapes, pattern, colour and yarn -- it's almost like putting together a puzzle, except that you get to make up the pieces.

This page is devoted to an examination of the "how" of modular knitting -- how do you get a finished product when all you have is a problem to solve or a "What if?" question to answer.

"The Hat" -- Ted Myatt starts by spinning trilobal nylon and finishes with a modular ch'ullu
"The Hat -- Part The Second" -- In Which I Finally Start Knitting The Hat.....
"The Rose Window Ch'ullu" -- or what do traditional Andean headgear and French cathedrals have in common?
