You'll need the needles you've decided on using and your one colour of worsted weight yarn.

Abbreviations

aitk - as if to knit

skp - slip one, knit one, pass the slipped stitch over

sssk - slip, slip, slip, knit (like ssk but with three stitches)

Cast on 30 sts. [a,b]

Row 2: k14, skp, k to last st, p1.

Row 3 and all odd numbered rows: sl 1^st st aitk, k to last st, p1.

Row 4: sl 1^st st aitk, p12, p3tog, p to end of row.

Row 6: sl 1^st st aitk, k11, sssk, k to last st, p1.

Row 8: sl 1^st st aitk, p10, p3tog, p to end of row.

Row 10: sl 1^st st aitk, k9, sssk, k to last st, p1.

Row 12: sl 1^st st aitk, p8, p3tog, p to end of row.

Row 14: sl 1^st st aitk, k7, sssk, k to last st, p1.

Row 16: sl 1^st st aitk, p6, p3tog, p to end of row.

Row 18: sl 1^st st aitk, k5, sssk, k to last st, p1.
