What We Offer

Family Worship Services:

At St. Paul's, the majority of our regular worship services are liturgical in style. Worship services for festive days are usually less formal, as are worship services on the first Sunday of a month.

Sunday Worship is:

10:30 AM from the Sunday after Labour Day until the first Sunday in June. During the summer, worship services are at 10:00 AM.

Special Days of Celebration are:

Christmas Eve at 7:30 PM
Christmas Day at 10:30 AM
New Years Eve at 7:30 PM
Wednesdays during Lent at 7:30 PM
Maundy Thursday at 7:30 PM
Good Friday at 10:30 AM
Easter Sunday Sunrise Service at 7:30 AM (in addition to the regular Sunday service)

Sunday School:

Excellent classes with Christ centred lessons and discussions are offered for ages 3 to 103 at 9:15 AM. Classes meet from the Sunday following Labour Day until the first Sunday of June.

Bible Study Groups:

These vary in number, size and time. Presently we have groups which meet on Sunday mornings, Thursday mornings and two Saturdays of each month. Most of these groups recess for the summer months.

Newcomers' Class:

This series is offered several times during the year for all interested in knowing more about the beliefs, values and goals of St. Paul's and other Lutheran congregations in fellowship with it. These classes meet once a week for ten to twelve weeks. Meeting dates and times vary. For more information, click here to send your e-mail request.

Prayer Chain:

More than 25 concerned members are on call to pray for any who desire prayer. Just call (519) 669-5000 or (519) 669-2593 or click here to send your prayer request by e-mail.

Youth Group:

This high school aged group meets weekly for a fun activity and to study the Word of God. Presently, the group is in recess.

Teenage Confirmation Classes:

A two year in-depth program of Christian teaching is offered for children in grades 7 and up. These classes meet once a week from September to June.

Vacation Bible School:

During the 3rd or 4th week of August, an evening V.B.S. is held from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. for ages 3 to 14. V.B.S. for 2008 is set for August 18 to 22. Click here to register for this year's V.B.S.

Choir:

A beautiful mixed choir often enhances our worship services from September to May. The choir, led by Ron Wagner, meets to rehearse on Wednesdays or Thursdays at 7:15 p.m.

Euchre Club:

For those who enjoy playing cards, this group of all ages meets to do just that. Games are held in the homes of players at a time determined by the hosts.

Women's Group:

Our ladies meet the second Tuesday of the month for inspiration, information and/or to socialize. This group actively supports local and foreign Christian missionary work.

Braille Production Groups:

Several times a week, groups gather at the church to produce books of the Bible and other Christian literature in Braille for world wide distribution.

Quilting Group:

A dedicated group of ladies meets year round Monday morning and afternoon to hand stitch quilts for sale and to tie quilts for world relief. Proceeds from the stitched handiwork are used to support a variety of Christian ministries locally and abroad.

Community Social Assistance:

While we believe that our primary ministry is to the whole person (body and spirit), we do offer some assistance in the form of food vouchers, etc. to those outside of our spiritual care as well as to our members in need.
