This page used to have stuff like...

"Materials usually run in the $400 to $450 range for common guitar woods like mahogany, ebony, rosewood and spruce. Beyond that, I charge $10/hr for my time. An average guitar takes me about 120 hours to complete. So all that put together means that a guitar will cost somewhere around the $1,600 mark."

However as time has gone by and I've built more instruments, I realize how truely little I know and that I'm really just beginning down this path. Furthermore, I quit my corporate management job and went to guitar building to remove stresses in my life and to me, having a client waiting for a guitar on a tight timeline is stressful. I also realized that I'm still very much in my experimental stage and building a guitar to tight customer specifications does not allow for much experimentation.

Having said that, I will continue to build guitars and will have some for sale which I wil list on this website and hopefully have available in some stores. If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to drop me a note at "steved @ golden . net" (take the spaces out)

I am located in Wiarton, Ontario; a small town on beautiful Georgian Bay (yes that's right, Wiarton Willie Country).

And this is me playing the first guitar I made, the "Orion". I'm not really as grumpy as I look; I was just concentrating. ;-)
