STATEMENT OF FAITH

In reviewing various books on prophecy, we have wished that the writers would clearly identify themselves in regard to theology. It makes for much easier reading for us if we first are assured that the author writes from an evangelical position, respecting the inspiration and inerrancy of the Scriptures. Otherwise, we are constantly on our guard in case the author is a cultist or writes from a theological framework we cannot accept. THEREFORE, let us assure our readers of the following:

WE BELIEVE THAT:

1. The Holy Scriptures as originally given by God are divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and the only supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. We subscribe without reservation to the Chicago Statement on the Inerrancy of the Scriptures.

2. There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

3. Our Lord Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh; we believe in His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His personal return in power and glory.

4. The salvation of lost and sinful man is possible only through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, by faith apart from works, and by the regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

5. The Holy Spirit indwells believers and enables them to live holy lives, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ.

6. There will be a resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal damnation.

7. There is a unity in the Spirit of all true believers, the Church, the body of Christ.
