    On the following course pages, these symbols and notations below are used:

    * Bible Chronology 1.0 +

    1. An asterisk (*) in the first column means that this is a required subject for the B.B.R. degree. For the ABRI and FBRI designations, only a total of 40 and 80 credits (respectively) are required, in any mix.

      An hyphen (-) in the first column means that the course is NOT required for the B.B.R. degree issued by Bible Research International.

    2. Course name -- your will find a course description in the last section of this manual. Please read these course descriptions when choosing your courses.

    3. A number in the third column (eg. 1.0,2.0,0.5, etc.) tells how many credits can be earned by taking each course. By taking the class in person (or by video or audio tape), completing the easy quiz after each lesson, and taking the final quiz, you will receive a full credit for the course (that's 10 credit points).

      All questions on the final quiz are taken from the class quizzes...there are no new or trick questions. It is, therefore, not difficult to obtain credits for courses.

    4. A + in the fourth column means that there are optional assignments attached to each lesson that a student can complete to earn extra credit points. These assignments are designed to cause the student to think deeper about the topic, and to express in his/her own words their understanding.

      The extra credit points available are found by multiplying the course credit by 0.6. For instance, a one credit course (10 credit points) followed by a + means that an additional 6 credit points can be earned by completing the assignments. It is a convenient way to delve deeper into Bible study.

      For those studying for the B.B.R. degree, it should be noted that these extra credit points are part of the requirement if the course is designated * in the first column.
