1983 and 1997 base Manitoba license plates. Canadian PRP plates. The current scenic base was introduced in June 1997 to replace all 1983 base plates (except ORV which was created in 1988) by June 1998. Plates were made by the Western Tools company from 1983-88, Hi-Signs from 1988-1997 and 2002-03 and most recently, Waldale since 1997. All plates issued in pairs except for Repairer, Dealer, all 6x12" trailer types, samples and all the small plates and paper permits. Stickers issued singly. 10-19-08 update: added several photos including veteran foreign language, UDrive Western Tools dies, used LVA, new Waldale Vintage Auto, language sticker on T class hi signs plate, new photos of 83 base CT, original 83 base repair and a new ORV page with thanks to Andrew Osborne for all the help.
