I would love to hear about your interest in this website or Manitoba plates in general.
If a photo of your license plate appears on this website or if you are concerned about perceived implications of my hobby, please read this before contacting me:
- License plate numbers aren't sensitive. If they were, they wouldn't be on our cars for millions of people to see.
- While the information that can come from a plate number could be sensitive, it is not accessible by the general public, which includes collectors and photographers. License plate photography is not illegal.
- The plates technically aren't ours to begin with. They're property of the jurisdictions we live in, and are by law on public display.
- We collectors can't endanger anyone because we take pictures of license plates, nor can anyone else because they see the pictures.
- We take pictures of license plates because we like them, not because we're out to get anyone. We have good intentions, and a very enjoyable hobby.
