UPDATED AUG.11/2002.....This Report is From My QTH 100Kms West of Toronto Ont.As far as conditions here at My location, I'm not hearing many stations from Europe. On the other hand I'm hearing in the evening many of the Carribean Islands and Southern U.S.A as well as Western USA. and the East coast of Canada as well. That is My report for this week 73's and Good Dxing.
I've been a radio operator for over twenty years.Of all the contacts I make, the islands are one of my most treasured. I live in Guelph, Ontario, Canada .
In my city we have a large agriculture University. The population in Guelph is about 110,000 people. The Guelph Police Force was the first police force in Canada to have Radios. I've been married for over 20 years and have two fantastic kids. I'm 41 years old .
For my living I'm a plumber. I was mainly on Major
construction but now I work for I.T.T. and build fire and booster systems for large buildings.
As far as hobbies: My favorite is DXing but I also mountian bike, water ski and snow ski.
My equipment consists of a FT840 on my four element yagi at about 82 feet (25 meters) and a HR2510 on my Antron 99 at about 86 feet. My FT840 uses a Shure
444D mic. and the HR2510 uses turner plus 3 mic. The FT840 is powered by a Astron RS35M power supply and the HR2510 is powered by a Samlex 20 amp power supply.
In the Mobile I run a HR2510 with a Wilson 1000 antenna mounted on the roof.
