Rimbault played the organ at the St. Peterís, Vere Street; St. Johnís Wood Presbyterian Church; and the Swiss Church in Soho, London. He helped found the Musical Antiquarian Society in 1840, and composed operettas and popular and religious music. He once received — and declined — a position as professor of music at Harvard College.
The following links let you hear the Rimbault chant, played by the computer on a synthesised organ.
The buttons will play the chant in the browser, if the correct plugin is installed.
It will play twice, and clicking on the link again will cause it to repeat.
You might need to click Refresh on your browser, or press F5 before playing, as the chant files change regularly.
