![]() This is where I spent most of my childhood and early youth years. The house is located in Germanys province of Saxony near the Czech border in a picturesque 3000 sole inhabited village named Graupa. In the early 19th century it became famous for Germanys great composer Richard Wagner who was enticed here to write a part of his most popular composition– the opera Lohengrin (more in German). The village is also near the Elbe river valley and its spectacular sediment rock formations that stretch into the Czech republic. |
From there we went to Kouchibouguac National Park.

Now arrived at the Bay of Fundy, below one can see the fishing boats almost on the ocean floor as the tides reach magnitudes of more than six meters.

These pictures were taken in summer of 1999. We (my two kids, then at age 14/12 and me) went to Prince Edward Island (P.E.I.) for a couple of terrific days in the sun surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. P.E.I is Canada’s smallest province and known for their seemingly endless potato crop fields. |
