Hang Gliding
Hi, You are visiting John Pops' home page. I have been hang gliding sine 1978 and it still continues to be one of my favorite passions. I am the secretary for Southwestern Ontario Gliding Association. SOGA. Our club has been active since 1979 and presently we have a flight park with a Dragon fly Aero Tug. We began towing in 1984 and have developed all aspects of towing which have led us to the present. I believe we were the first people to Aero tow hang gliders in Canada. I was the test pilot.
I have also designed and built a new generation of tow carts to help launch hang gliders with the Aero Tug (ultralite aircraft). I call it the "T-Dolly" and presently have an electronic manual of construction plans available for those who want to build their own . It contains many pages of Instruction and detailed drawings, and a miriad of jpegs of the parts and completed views of the T-dolly. T-Dolly plans

Sailing
My other passion !
I keep my Mirage 27 at the Bay Moorings Marina which is in Penetanguishine , Ontario.
Hey, solo sailing is just like hang gliding, and sailing on Lake Ontario is very relaxing. Just trim your sails sit back and relax.
One of my favorite
spots on the boat !
Sometimes ya just gotta go down south for some great and easy sailing.
Touring the Islands around the B.V.I. ( British Virgin Islands ) on a 42' will spoil you forever!
