      If you know the year of your truck refer
      to the engine chart below.If your unsure of the year your truck
      was built in the first thing you need to do is locate your VIN
      or serial number.What your looking for is a metal strip containing
      a bar code and a 17 digit VIN number printed on it .If you have
      a 1989 though 1991 you will find this strip down the left had
      side of your dash facing outward towards the door.If you have
      a 1992 thought 1998 you will find the strip in the top of the
      left hand side of your dash near the defroster vent ( most easily
      viewed thought the windshield).Your VIN number holds alot of information
      about your truck such as weather its a two or four door, where
      and when it was built ect...The number we are interested in is
      the tenth number in the VIN code.Once you've found the appropriate
      number refer to the year chart below to find out what year your truck was
      built in.Once you have the year refer to the engine
      chart to find out what engine you have.
