

Here are some pics of my 1993 5 door Vitara now with a modified Procomp 2.5 inch lift and the LA Supa Trux 3 inch body lift to clear 33/10.50/15 Interco TSL Thornbirds. With in 16 hours of completion it won first place at the 1998 Suzuki Rhino Rally.
The standard 1.6l 16 valve auto handles the larger rolling radius of the tyres surprisingly well. We did take out the standard auto 4.8:1 diffs and replace them with 2 door manual 5.1:1 diffs. I've just installed a pair of 5.83:1 ring & pinnions from Calmini and managed to keep the factory fit L.S.D. in the rear. As is, it's able to tow my little SJ416 at the maximum towing speed limit of 60mph.
Some fairly trick work had to be done to accommodate the tyres. This is no weekend job.
Obvious stuff like losing the standard bumpers is easy to see but there's the trick 'hidden' stuff which you can't see ( which bears testimony to the workmanship ) like cutting the rear of the front fenders, trashing the auxiliary front procomp shock, remanufacturing the strutbrace, tapping forward the front bottom of the rear arches some 10mm & repositioning the rear axle back 40mm.
