Greg Vincent's Hiking Site
Hadrian's Wall 2010

For the past few years, we have walked across England and Scotland, hiked portions of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and the Preseli Hills in western Wales. We’ve also crossed the sea to explore County Donegal in Northern Ireland and County Clare in the Republic of Ireland.

Our “Discover the British Isles” 2010 small group walk will be in England, with the focus being Hadrian’s Wall. Hadrian’s Wall Path is an 84 mile National Trail and takes walkers along the riverside route of Tyneside, through farmland in Tynedale and the grazing upland section dominated by the Whin Sill escarpment. It then gradually descends to the rich pastures of Cumbria and finally the salt marsh of the Solway Estuary.

Our well-researched itinerary outlined here for your consideration is always subject to slight modification, depending on the local weather, new opportunities, and of course your personal interests. Contact Goliger’s TravelPlus, Waterloo for further details.

Your Canadian Guide Your Guideb from Canada

Greg Vincent has led six trips to England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland handled by Dave Southall. Greg has led hikes for the past thirty years in Canada, the United States, the Caribbean  and Europe. Although the walking part of the outings is important to Greg, he is very much interested in the human history, geology and flora of the areas he walks. When the day is done and the day's walk is discussed the whole experience of the walk is what keeps him wanting more. Greg's training as an Air Force navigator and Army artillery officer helps getting the group to the destination!
