Andy played on line with Dennis Ververgaert and Reg Thomas
for London in 1972-73 season.
Selected in the 1974 draft, in the 6th round 95th overall by the Vancouver Canucks.
Vancouver released Spruce after the 1976-77 season, and he signed with Colorado
as a free agent in August 1977. Selected by Phoenix Roadrunners round 9 #119
overall 1974 WHA Amateur Draft.
After Andy finished playing hockey he became a coach with the Sudbury Wolves.
