Reg remains one of the most prolific Knights of all time, I think his contributions to the Knights have been greatly under estimated. Reg scored 309 points in only 3 years with the Knights.

Thomas signed to play in the WHA rather than enter the NHL after he was drafted, and remained in the other league until it merged with the NHL in 1979. His rights reverted back to Chicago, which left him unprotected for the 1979 NHL Expansion Draft, and he was claimed by Edmonton on June 13, 1979.
