What personal information do we collect?
The information we learn from customers helps us personalize and continually improve your shopping experience. Information is only collected during a submission to us. For example, if you email us, place an order or submit information using a form, information is gathered. No information is gathered unless there is a submission by you.
- Information You Give Us: When you submit information to us we may store any information you enter on our web site or give to us in any other way. You do not have to submit any information you do not wish to however this may limit the use of certain features on our web site. We use the information gathered for such things as responding to your requests, shipping details, improving our web site to meet customers needs and to communicate with you.
- Automatic Information: When you submit information to us, some additional information may also be collected automatically from you. This information may include the internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the internet. This information is used to protect our site from abuse.
How long do we keep any information we collect?
Information submitted to us is kept for as long as is needed to complete an order or communication. Any communication is held by us until the matter is concluded and then all communications and information are deleted.
- Orders: When you place an order or inquire about an item the information provided to us is kept until the order has been completed. Once an order is completed, all information is deleted. Any outstanding orders or inquiries are deleted after approximately two months if no further communications are received. The only exception to this is by special request in which case we hold the information as long as requested.
- Listing Your Items: If you list an item on our site, your information submitted is held for the duration of the listing period. All information is held while your items are listed so that we may contact you if there is interest in your items. After the approximate 6 month listing period, your items and information (except email, see next bullet) are deleted unless you renew your listing.
- Newsletter Subscription: If you submit your email to us to receive our newsletter and notification of new items listed, your email is held indefinately until you cancel your subscription, at which time your email is deleted from our records. Listing an item on our site, automatically subscribes you to our newsletter. This way you will see your items mailed out. You must unsubscribe from the newsletter to have your email address removed (unless it is still required for an item listed as stated in the above bullet).
Does Far 'N Away share the information it receieves?
All information collected by Far 'N Away is strictly used by us and is not sold or shared with any third parties except as stated below.
- Agents: We do employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include delivering packages, sending postal mail and processing credit card payments. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.
Children
Far 'N Away Collectibles does not sell products for purchase by children. If you're under 18, you may use this site for purchases only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
