Have you tried it for lunch? I'm speaking, of course, about oatmeal porriage. In the morning it seems a bit much but a few hours later and Wham -- it tastes good.
Measure 1/3 cup of 3 minute oatmeal into a small pot.
- pour in a bit over 3/4 cup of milk. - a little salt too.
Set burner to 7 on a scale of 10. Watch for bubbles to break the surface. Turn down heat to 2 on a scale of 10.
Keep watch while you stir. It'll get thicker. Don't let the mixture boil.
In about 4 minutes, it'll be done.
Put the porriage in a bowl and sprinkle some brown sugar on top. Don't add any cold milk. If you feel the need, pour a separate bowl of milk and dip a spoonfull of porriage in there.
Open a can of pears or peaches and eat that along with the oatmeal.
Then enjoy the afternoon.
