Group arrival
The Children of Chernobyl will be arriving before 1:00 pm. There will be about 15 extra cars bringing the children and parking will be crowded. Members are asked to park in the boat parking lot and on the lane leading to the pavillion.
Greeting and orientation
The guests will be greeted and orientated on the days events by Jim Phillips - Commodore, Chris Vaughan - Secretary, and Don Van Galen. The children will recieve WSC tee-shirts to wear and take home as a souvenir of their visit to the Wildwood Saling Club.
Skipper's meeting
The guests will be invited to listen in on the skipper's meeting as Paul Carter explains the rules and course layout for the days race.
Race Starts
The race starts at 2:00 pm. People not racing that day are asked to volunteer to give rides to the guests while the race is on and/or after the race concludes. Racers are asked to give rides after the race concludes.
Sail rides
Please volunteer to give rides to the Children of Chernobyl and guests. Members will give sail rides of about an hour or longer depending on the time remaining.
Dinner
The Wildwood Sailing Club is sponsoring this event and the dinner will be free for all. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be served at 5:30 pm. Members are asked to provide salads and deserts. Bring lots for the increased number of guests.
Race awards
Paul Carter will be presenting the winners of the race with the prizes for the day. The raffle prizes will be awarded at this time as well.
Adjournment and farewells
Jim Phillips - Commodore will be thanking the guests and wishing them well in the future. Anyone wishing to speak at this time is asked to contact Jim in advance.
Remember to volunteer. This is a worthy cause and your participation is needed.
