Hoary Redpoll

For a few days at our house there was a Hoary Redpoll at our feeders with a flock of Commons. This shot shows a distinctive feature of the bill.

 

This second Hoary Redpoll was visiting a birders feeder at Presqui'le Provincial Park for several weeks. This picture was taken March. 11, 2000. The Hoary is in the bottom left.
