The Sandy Cave~
You have entered a small chamber with a low ceiling. You have
to
stoop to avoid banging your head painfully against the top of
the
cave. There is a thin fissure running up the back wall of the
dark
little cave. In a wide area of the fissure, right above the ground,
a small nest of debris has been made by some creature for its
home.
The only exit is the narrow opening through which you entered.

The Beginning of a Hidden Tunnel~
You have stumbled upon a hidden tunnel. Except for the finely
crafted
hidden door through which you entered the tunnel does not appear
to
be man-made. The walls and floor are of a rough, volcanic rock
which
makes you very glad that you are wearing thick boots. Suddenly,
the
secret door begins to close silently behind you! Though you try
to
stop it, you quickly realize that it will inevitably close despite
all of your efforts. The tunnel continues south into the deepening
gloom and you can still escape through the secret door to the
northwest if you hurry!

All that remains of the fissure you entered the tunnel through
is
the frame of the door and the door itself. It appears to be well-
made and you doubt you'll ever get it open again once it has closed.

In the Hidden Tunnel~
A hollow, shuddering boom shakes the walls of the tunnel as
the
secret door far behind finally closes. You have been sealed inside
the mountain to face its terrors or die trying. The tunnel is
black
as pitch and the rough walls cut your hands when you don't guard
your actions and lean against them. The floor of the mysterious
tunnel slopes gradually upward as you continue deeper into the
mountain to the southeast. You can also go back to see if you
are
truly trapped inside the mountain by retracing your steps to the
northwest.

In the Hidden Tunnel~
The tunnel continues to slope gradually upward and it takes
a sudden,
sharp turn to the northeast here. A faint breeze carries with
it
a faint smell...

In the Hidden Tunnel~
Another faint breeze brushes lightly against your face, once
again
bringing with it the faint smell. This time, however, you are
able
to identify the smell. The foul reek of sulfur is the smell carried
on these light breaths of wind. The tunnel snakes back on itself
and straightens out before continuing to the southeast.
