Miscellaneous CP locomotives...
Here are my other CP units. I intend to give step by step instructions about how I modelled 3042 in a future update of this site.

My model of 8666 represents one which is running its final miles prior to rebuild. 8666 was indeed one of the very last original high-hood GP9s to be cycled through the nose-chopping and rebuild program in 1989. When outshopped in 1989-90, the unit had new road number 8232. Here are my photos of the finished 8666, which initially came to me as a factory painted phase 2 LifeLike/Hobbycraft GP9. |

Between 1983 and 1986 CP Rail took delivery of 115 beautiful GP38-2s featuring modern dynamic brakes, roller bearing trucks, quiet fan, 88" nose, large anticlimber and much, much more. These units are very specific and any modeller who wants an accurate model of one of these needs to do major reconstructive work on the Athearn body. I have done two of these so far, and here is a photo of one of them. The version I chose represents those which are numbered in the 3041-3135 range. |

C424 #4241 is my only Alco. This is a recent version Atlas model that I modified for the late version including square carbody filters, ditch lights and much more. |
